A Christian perspective on bioethics

Stem cell research? Late stage abortion? Genetic modification? How does Christian faith impact how we think about these issues? In this talk Dr Kolstoe will outline different approaches to ethical decision making and ask whether Christianity is a cause or a solution when bioethical conflict occurs.

Saturday 12 February 2011, starting at 7pm with coffee and doughnuts.

Dr Simon Kolstoe is a Senior Research Associate in the Laboratory for Protein Crystallography, Royal Free & UCL Medical School, London. He also has degrees in philosophy and ethics, sits on an NHS research ethics committee, and is a national committee member of Christians in Science.
