Our Holiday Club this year is based on the theme of the seaside and one particular fisherman called Peter, who was known as the Rock. Peter was a follower of Jesus, and the first disciple to recognize who Jesus was. But later on he turned away from Jesus and denied that he had ever known him.
There will be games involving water, sand and stones. There will be building of houses on sand and on a hard surface. There will be singing and stories.

The church building is situated on level ground on a major road, so it will be "business as usual" this weekend (Sunday 10th January), including a bring-and-share lunch after the morning service (all are very welcome to eat, whether they have brought something or not). We extend a very warm welcome to any who wish to join us, especially to any visitors and those who do not usually go to church.
We are based on Viaduct Road, next to the Preston Circus fire station. However, the streets immediately to the north of the church have not been cleared, so they are very icy, and there are very few empty spaces for parking. Those intending to come by car are advised to look elsewhere for parking, either on Beaconsfield Road or Preston Road (thought to be free of charge), or by the Level (also thought to be free), or in the London Road car park (not free), which is easiest to reach via London Road (heading north) and York Hill, although the hill at the top of Elder Place is relatively clear at the time of writing (Saturday afternoon).

We held a week of events between Saturday 27 June and Sunday 5 July. Follow the links for more details...

As a service to the Brighton Pavilion constituents, Calvary Evangelical Church plans to host events with local politicians in the months leading up to the General Election. In this public event, we are delighted to provide the opportunity to understand better what Caroline’s views are on many of the weighty issues that influence the way we vote: family, education, the economy, immigration, the EU, the health service, international relations, climate change and the UK Parliament.
Come and broaden your perspective of British party politics and meet the real people behind the media image!
