Brighton Festival Community Art Project: workshop, exhibition, and competition for school children and students.

As part of the Brighton Festival Fringe from 7th-28th May 2005 we are organising "Making Tracks": workshops, historical exhibition, and display of children's art work to be held in the Brighton Railway Mission Classrooms (part of our church building).

The theme sentence of the competition is : "the railways brought huge growth and social change to Brighton ... " Our aim is to stimulate imaginative and creative interest in an important factor which made our city what it is - architecturally, economically, historically, geographically, culturally and spiritually.

Entries may be in any medium. The judges will look for those entries which best capture the atmosphere and impact of the theme sentence.

Brighton Festival Community Art Project for school children and students.

As part of the Brighton Festival Fringe from 1st-23rd May 2004 we are organising a competition of children's art work to be displayed in the Brighton Railway Mission Schoolrooms (part of our church building).

The theme of the competition is Brighton's Victorian Railways - a slice of the past explored by the youth of today. Our aim is to stimulate imaginative and creative interest in an important factor which made our city what it is - architecturally, economically, historically, geographically, culturally and spiritually.

Entries may be in any medium. The judges will look for those entries which best capture the atmosphere and impact of the subject.
