Prayer meetings

We believe that prayer is an essential part of our lives as Christians – both individually and as a church. When praying, we come into God’s presence, seek the forgiveness of our sins, give thanks, and ask God for things.

Through prayer God can change the tide and move mountains – as in Psalm 114, Mark 11:20-26!

During our services there will be prayers led by the preacher/leader of the service. In addition, we hold regular meetings dedicated to praying:

  • Sunday morning: 9:30 am (please enquire for Zoom details)
  • Wednesdays: 7:30 pm for 7:45 pm till about 9:00 pm – informal meeting consisting of teaching, discussion, singing and prayer (currently in person and on Zoom – please enquire for Zoom details)

In January, we usually have a week of prayer (prayer meetings in the morning and in the evening). We recently joined in doing so with other local gospel churches.

Jesus said: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30
